Please REGISTER HERE to join Novus Law Firm and FortneyScott on Thursday, May 28th at 10:00am PST/1:00pm EST for the first in a series of webinars discussing the myriad of legal and compliance concerns facing institutes of higher education looking to reopen their campuses for the 2020 Fall terms.

In this first session, Natasha Baker, Esq. and Elizabeth Bradley, Esq. will lead a discussion on the initial personnel considerations to review when reopening your institutions.  This discussion will be moderated by David. S. Fortney, Esq.  These panelists, with their extensive experience in higher education law, will provide thoughtful recommendations and legal perspectives.

During this first session, the panelists will discuss faculty-focused topics including virtual instruction and curriculum adjustments in the context of shared governance; workforce modifications, given contractual, tenure and collective bargaining agreements; and compensation considerations in the event of reduced class schedules. The panelists will also provide a look at how best practices are currently developing with respect to the health and safety of an institution’s personnel as well as accommodation practices that institutions should be considering.

If you have any questions that you would like to have addressed during the seminar, please submit via email to info@fortneyscott.com.
