On Monday, January 26, 2026, FortneyScott attorney David Fortney co-chaired the Practicing Law Institute's (PLI) Annual Wage & Hour Litigation and Compliance program with Nichols Kaster attorney, Michele Fisher.
David Fortney also had the opportunity to be on a panel with the U.S Department of Labor's Wage & Hour Administrator, Andrew Rogers. The panel titled "U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Update - What to Expect from the Trump Administration" cover the following:
This panel will discuss the Trump Administration’s policies and priorities for the DOL’s Wage and Hour Division. It will include an invited senior level government agency representative with significant knowledge of the Wage and Hour Division’s latest policies, regulatory agenda and key litigation matters. After attending this session, participants will be able to:
- Learn about the changes and new priorities in policies and enforcement strategies that are being implemented by the Trump Administration
- Understand DOL’s key regulatory developments, and the impact of the Trump Administration on the current and future regulations
- Strategize and advise clients on compliance matters based on the Administration’s policies
- Recognize the voluntary compliance initiatives offered by DOL to employers
